Postapalooza!

Ok, you asked and I shall deliver! Here are some catch-up posts of what we've been up to the last few weeks. Scroll down bc there are several!

First of all, our lives are super hectic bc our business is having "growing pains," as Matt likes to call it! He basically had to grow the business so that it would support 2 employees (himself and another). Until the new guy started, Matt had to do everything by himself! The new guy is working out great and we are so excited to have him working with us now!! However, Matt is still super swamped and we expect to have somewhat of a normal life again in about 2 weeks :)

Here's a rundown of what's been going on in our social world: Granny's 80th SURPRISE party was a few weeks ago, Mother's day in Dallas, 2521 Roommate Reunion in New Braunfels!

Granny's 80th Birthday Party

We SURPRISED Granny!!!! It was great - she had no clue!! About 80 of her closest friends and family showed up and it was a ton of fun! I'm so glad that most of the cousins got to come in for the party now that we live all across the nation. This was the first party the cousins have thrown, and, from what I hear, some of the aunts didn't think we could pull it off!! But - we did!

Mother's Day (and a little Father's Day too!)

At Bucca

Mom and KP

Mom, KP & Dad at the airport

Since Kristi & I were both in town at the same time (a rare event)! We celebrated Mother's day....and a little of Father's day too! We took mom & dad to eat at Bucca di Beppo (Yummo)!

Navy Dudes

Mom!!

While swinging thru the Big D on my way to the girls' getaway trip, I got to go to my mom's concert. Her group, New Horizons Band, was asked to play for a fancy Navy ceremony at Southfork Ranch (yes, the one where "Dallas" was filmed)! The Navy made those poor guys and gals STAND for the entire 2 hour ceremony. Dang.

I had been to Southfork a few times in HS, but had never taken the tour. We went around on a little tram to see the ranchgrounds and also toured the mansion. Swanky digs.

Roommate Reunion!

My college roommates and I had a girls' getaway roommate reunion this past weekend! Fun times. It's hard to believe I graduated SIX YEARS AGO. Whew, I am getting old. Anyway, my camera was low on batteries so Sarah has promised to send pics as soon as she gets them. Sarah, Katie, Halie, Laura & I rocked in New Braunfels and tubed the river. It was tons of fun catching up and glueing on fake toenails, which are apparently all the rage in Grand Prairie these days.

The only near mishap we had was when Laura's hubby called from the Middle East (he's in the Navy) and she accidentally pushed IGNORE on her phone while we were in the river. She had even bought a special phone holder to wear on her neck to keep the phone dry in case he called. That was a very sad moment, but luckily he called back a few hours later! Keep Alex and his boat in your prayers!!! And...Laura and Alex's baby that's on the way! Numero Dos!

We also took a trip up to the San Marcos outlet mall where Sarah and I's engagement diamonds both came from. Can you guess we both got engaged to fiance's who were Longhorn students at the time?! So this is the only pic I have on my camera...
