Movember Plus

This is my handsome hubby, pre-Movember.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with Movember, it is a "charity" event that runs the month of November.  http://us.movember.com Guys grow mustaches "for mens health."  I say that in quotes for two reasons: 

1.) Matt had no idea which charity the mustache growing was actually for when he signed up  

2.)  He didn't get any sponsors and, therefore, did not raise any money for "charity."  

ALTHOUGH, when asked WHY (OH, WHYYYYYYYYYYY??) did he grow a mustache, his first response was "for charity."  

It then evolved.  

And by evolve I mean quickly spiraled downward into a bargaining tool.  This guy decided he would not shave his mustache on November 31st.  Oh, no.  He would keep the mustache unless I agreed that he did not have to participate in the annual family Christmas photo.  Oh, my dear, I do believe we are equally yoked in the stubborn department!  Below you can see the progression of the legendary mustache.  If you feel so inclined to donate to "charity," please send donations to the "I Did Not Sign Up to Marry a Trucker" fund.  Thanks so much.  The annual family Christmas photo will be posted shortly (my dear husband - and mustache - included).

The "Hitler" would've been a more obvious choice, but look at that face!  You can't help but laugh!  

Thankfully, Phase 3 was the final stage.

Are you stickin your tongue out at me???

 A couple of months ago, we realized Drew couldn't stick his  tongue out past his teeth.  Having good control of your tongue is obviously important for speech, so his speech therapist has given us some homework...Lollipop homework!  We've been holding the lollipop out just far enough that he has to really stretch that tongue out to get a lick.  Lo and Behold...we have a tongue-sticker-outer now!  Nothing motivates the Drewski like a good ole lollipop!  :)

Bday Party - Fireman Style

 Our next door neighbor had his 4th bday party today!  Cute, cute group of kiddos!  They got to take a few rides around the block on the fire truck.  Drew has a great time...until he found out I would only let him have one piece of cake!  That's mama's boy right there - carb lover all the way!
