It's Done!
Well, if i don't find a job soon, maybe I'll become a painter. Although, if that is the case I'll definitely need to charge by the hour...
Stay Within the Lines. The Lines Are Our Friends.
Ok, why is painting a straight line so difficult? I mean, I'm using painter's tape and a paint roller for goodness sakes! Could it possibly be that our house is 80+ years old and the walls aren't straight? This is a definite possibility, and, quite frankly, one that I'm willing to place the blame on. Surely it's not ME that can't stay within the lines! I did pass kindergarten afterall...
Painting away... finished photos to follow.

Warning: Only Former Band Dorks will find this even slightly amusing...
You're a Flute. Cute, but vicious.

This is compliments of my friend (and fellow Aggie band dork) Susan's blog. Only us band dorks find this stuff funny...

Friends in Baton Rouge
Please keep our friends in Baton Rouge in your prayers. Keri and Karl Armentrout are Campus Crusade for Christ leaders at LSU and Keri is due with their first baby in November. Here's an email I received from her yesterday:
Hey friends, here's the update on us since the hurricane...We weren't hurt, our place wasn't damaged (still no phone service and we just got our email back last night), but...and the "BUT" is big...our landlord's house was destroyed. In turn, she needs our condo for herself and as of yesterday has given us 47 days to evacuate (which is a month before I'm due). I don't know if you've heard about the current state of housing in Baton Rouge, but there are literally no apartments or houses available for rent, and houses have been sold sight-unseen for 10's of thousands more than the asking price because of the demand. Our staff team and church are exploring every connection they have to see if they know someone who could rent or sell to us (and not take advantage), but they are not optimistic. Right now, everyone seems to think that our only option is to move in with Charlie and Bev Clary (a couple on our staff team) temporarily. But the "temporarily" is also indefinite--"maybe til the New Year, maybe through the spring semester". As you can imagine, this is not the scenario we had envisioned when we bring our baby home from the hospital. So if you could please pray that God would provide something for us! We know that if it's his will to stay in Baton Rouge, then we'll find something. love,Keri
