34 Weeks and Puppies!

Here is my 34 week belly shot! I am starting to feel REALLY preggo! Not much longer now! Also, another shot of the nursery. Mom bought these cute letters for Andrew. You can also see the "pillow" style bumper that I bought. We decided not to keep it in the crib until he's old enough to roll over, but it's so cute I had to set it up for now :)

Poor Molly! She developed a condition called "cherry eye." It's not harmful or painful for her, but her 3rd eyelid pops out every now and then. It usually stays like this for about a day and then goes back to normal! The vet said it's no big deal??? Looks AWFUL though! Poor pup!

Well, it's that time of year again where Matt busts out his plastic nativity set! Our agreement is that I get to decorate the inside and he gets the outside! Carnivale!! Hahaha. This year we have 2 new additions to the nativity (which happen to be blocking your view of Baby Jesus)! Here's our new pup, Minnie (her Santa hat is falling off) and sweet Molly!

Prepping the pups for their nativity photo shoot. You all know that Molly is my princess pup and stays in the house/has full reign of the house. Minnie is our latest addition. I haven't blogged about her yet because I wasn't sure she was going to last at our house, but it looks like she's a keeper! Minnie was the pup of a friend of ours. We dog sat her for a week about 6 months ago and then gave her back to her owners. Well, our friends' landlord made them get rid of her so they took her to the humane society, which is about a mile from our house. Apparently, Minnie escaped the humane society, recognized the area, and found our house! One morning at about 6am she was literally knocking on our front door! We figured any dog who is that smart and who was begging for a new home deserved a chance so we kept her on a trial basis. She is VERY smart and a good dog! HOWEVER, she is an OUTSIDE dog only! We have a doggie door and she is smart enough to not come inside (even though Molly comes and goes as she pleases)! So...now we have Molly and Minnie (even her name was a perfect fit for our little fam)! Minnie rides in the truck with Matt to go out in the field and go on adventures, while Molly stays home with me snuggled up! Perfection!

30 Weeks!

Here are the latest pics of our Baby Flea! He is really filling out and I loooove those cheeks! I really think he might take after his cousin, Katelyn! We also found out that he is frank breech, so we are praying that he does a somersault sometime in the next 10 weeks! In other news, I didn't pass, but didn't fail, my 3 hour glucose test. Confusing, but in short I have to cut all sugar and start testing by blood sugar with finger pokes 5 times per day. Fabulous! It's not that bad though. Only 60 days or so till he arrives!

Matt's "Office"

This is the scene I came home to the other day. Matt has pulled out a camping chair, moved the coffee table, set up snacks on it, and plugged his laptop into our big TV to use as a computer screen. He is actually working here! He's controlling wells from this set-up! Oh, the hubby and his TV. At least it was in HD...

Last weekend my college roomies threw a shower for baby Andrew. It was so fun to see everyone! He received so many handmade things that are SO CUTE and he got a lot of very useful things too! Mom finished the quilt, so I will post pics of it soon! THANK YOU so much to everyone!!!

On Thursday, the ladies at Stone threw a combined shower for Malinda and I. It was a pink and blue shower since she will be having a girl in 3 weeks (or less)! Hard to believe I'm only 10 weeks behind that! We have the best staff at Stone and the shower was so sweet! Here's to babies Emma & Drew!!

This weekend was our first baby shower for Mr. Andrew Luke. Our family throws fabulous showers and I just had a great time!!! It was fun to see everyone and it was extra exciting for Katelyn to attend her first shower (well, except for when she was the guest of honor)! I'm not so sure she was a fan of the shower, but it was fun for her to meet everyone.

Furniture!

We got our furniture today! We really lucked out and the floor model of the furniture we wanted was on clearance so we bought it! Yay for not having to wait 12 weeks + a good deal!!! The walls are looking a little brighter on these pictures than they look in real life! Oh, and Matt is repainting the grates, so that is why we have a hole in our wall :)

Bumper and Skirt

I just ordered Andrew's crib bumper and skirt! It is simple - blue and white - and I love it!! It's from Pottery Barn Kids (Pique Nursery Bedding Set). This with mom's quilt will be his bedding :) YAY!!!

Material

This weekend I had a short trip back to the Big D for some quilt shopping with mom, lunch with the girls, and Esther's wedding. It was fun!!! I didn't take many pictures, but I do have one of the materials that mom and I chose for Andrew's quilt. We ordered a couple more fabrics online too from a cute shop that Katie recommended, Cabbage Rose, in Ft. Worth. So picture these fabrics plus an off white material that has blue stars on it and a darker blue with tiny white polka dots. The upholstery at the top of the picture will be used to recover Matt's mom's old rocking chair! I just love that it's all very baby-ish! He has plenty of time to grow up and have big boy motifs :) Yay baby!!!
