AgHorn?

I had never heard the phrase "AgHorn" until my baby shower back in November! Now that I am aware that AgHorns exist, I have diagnosed Drew with the condition. Our poor kid is going to be so conflicted! We got so many cute Aggie and Longhorn baby items that we just have to dress up Drew and have photo ops! It just so happened to work out that most of the Aggie gear is in bigger sizes, so stay tuned for more Aggie-leaning posts in the future.

Because I was so drugged during Drew's delivery, there are some stories that I barely recall. These are the stories that Matt loves to tell most (HA)! Apparently, when I was in the operating room getting prepped for surgery, the nurses asked me how Matt and I met. For some unknown reason I took this as an opportunity to tell them all that Drew could go to any college he wanted .... except Tech!!! Keep in mind, I was about to be operated on in LUBBOCK! OOPS.

Well, wherever Drew decides to go, we will have baby pictures to prove he was an Aggie (or Longhorn) from birth! HA.

1 Month Old - 2/26/10

Drew is 1 month old today, February 26, 2010!

Here is a picture of him with his quilt and giraffe toy from Grandma. She made both the quilt and the toy, so they are extra special! I'll take a pic of him w/ the giraffe every month so we can see how much he's grown!

Our Sweet Baby Boy!
Thanks, Aunt Linda Kay for the cute heart!

Lots of dark hair! Sometimes it looks light/sandy in the light. We're not sure if it will end up super dark like his daddy's or not!

Don't worry, I don't let him sleep on his tummy. This was just for pics!

With his elephant from Grandpa. We'll take a pic w/ this too to show how he's grown.

"Newborn" clothes are still a little big for him! We weighed him on a little fruit scale we have in the kitchen (because it shows ounces) and it looks like he's up to 8lbs 4oz (up from 7lbs 5oz at birth).

HAPPY FIRST MONTH TO DREW!

Stoer!

A sweet lady that I work with bought Drew this cute onesie from Holland. She told me that "stoer" means tough or strong in Dutch! Here's a pic of Drew and his big ole baby biceps showing off how tough he is!

Sup, Daddy?

Katelyn and Molly

i
Katelyn just loooved Molly and Minnie. She got a kick out of those pups! Here she is riding Molly :) We're so glad that Kristi and Katelyn came for a week! Well, originally they weren't supposed to stay that long, but we can thank the lovely weather for that one! We're glad they're home safe and hope that they can come back when I'm feeling better and Drew is at a fun age to play with Katelyn! Thanks for coming!!!

Malinda also stopped by for a visit with her 3 month old, Emma (and her Kaytlin and Madi). Here is a pic of the age progression! Drew's little heel got pricked for the PKU test yesterday at his 2 week check up.
Yesterday, Drew had his 2 week check up and all is well. He weighed 7lbs 12 oz, up from his birth weight of 7lbs 5oz! Way to go, Drew!! We just loooooove that little boy!

Fun pics!

After a VERY long and super eventful trip from South Carolina, Kristi and Katelyn finally made it to our house for a visit! Here's some play time...Katelyn and Kristi playing with Molly and Drew swinging away!
Today we went to have Drew's professional newborn pictures taken. We wanted a picture of his tiny toes with our wedding rings dangling from them. Matt has not taken his ring off since our wedding...this is what his finger looked like after he finally worked his ring off!

First Bath!
Thanks, Mylynka for the tub and the froggie cover up! We had no idea how critical a cover up is for a little boy :)

Slowly but surely these two are making friends!

Hospital Stay and Going Home!

Andrew Fleharty getting ready for his trip home! Thanks, Sarah, for the adorable onesie! I just love monogrammed things!! You did a great job on this one!

Baby Profile

First Bassinet

Pops and Grandma came and visited at the hospital and then came to Hobbs for the rest of Drew's first week. They brought this balloon and these flowers to the hospital. Some of the flowers are blue hydrangeas, which were our wedding flowers!

Proud Dad!!
Check out Matt's awesome hat! Thanks, Kilgores! Embrace the cheese.

This hat is SO cute. It has "Texas" on one side and "A&M on the other side. It's a newborn hat, but Drew's head was too big for it from the start!!

Daily Dose 'o Drew

Here's my snugglebug in his Pack 'N Play newborn napper. Thanks, Chaunie and Malinda for the P'nP!! We love it!! Oh, and you can see here that Drew holds his pacifier! He usually keeps one hand on it to make sure it doesn't fall out. Seriously. That cracks us up! We initially weren't going to use a pacifier at all. We filled out all the forms at the hospital and indicated that we didn't want him to get a paci in the nursery. From what I've read, not using a pacifier is better for newborns as they are learning to eat. Well.....that lasted all of about one day!!! We found the miracle of the paci and haven't looked back!! Matt calls pacifiers "epidurals for babies!"

Daily Dose 'o Drew

I have sooo many pics of Drew to organize and post...and I'm getting behind each day! So until I get caught up, and maybe after, I will try to appease Drew's fans with a daily pic ;0)
